Events And Festivals
Gone are the times when college life was just about academics and students fixated on attending lectures and penning exam papers.
RKM Trust encourages the students to organise events such as annual days, fests, and other various celebratory events and to participate and showcase latent talents in the real world. The four facets of college events and festivals are planning, communication, leadership, and multi-tasking. Campus activities – co-curricular or extracurricular – are, according to experts, an excellent opportunity to highlight the leadership and organisational skills of students.
Such events enable students to meet familiar faces of the 21st century who are actively participating in shaping ideas, culture and life's of people. These days, organizations which come for campus recruitment have begun taking a gander at student interests, past the four walls of the classroom. Most organisations hire students whose potential don't simply rotate around textbook information. Students who actively participate in managing and organizing college festivals and events will have advantage for their careers, particularly while hiring for managerial job positions. Also, being involved in college festivals and events teaches students how to prioritise work, adhere to a timetable and obey deadlines.
The aim of the series of educational and extracurricular events is to bridge boredom and guide students to expand their life horizons through an array of events such as seminars, conferences, workshops, cultural fest, sports meets, etc. which in turn enables a student to learn how to coordinate, handle, communicate and work together with a common aim to achieve, a thing which no classroom project can teach.
